I went here for three occasions: to pick out my wedding dress, to find a dress for an awards gala and to get a quote for a dress alteration.
A few months later, I walked in looking for a formal dress for a Great Gatsby themed awards gala. The gal was helpful: she pulled dresses she thought fit the bill, but again, did so without asking for a price point. After trying on a couple dresses, I didn't find one that met my expectations and budget. As I was leaving she said most of her inventory is at her other store. I went back a day later to try on what she brought back but wasn't thrilled with the choices. I left without buying anything, and a couple days later I found a dress online. It needed to be altered a bit, so I brought it in and asked if I could get a quote. She hemmed and hawed, and said "I'm way too busy to do anything for you." So I said that's fine and was ready to walk out when she said "well let's see it." I pulled it from the box, and held it up and she stared at me and said "there's no side hem. I can't do anything," then walked away. As I was folding my dress up to put it back in the box, she came back and gave me a card for a different seamstress, "Sewing by Nancy." When I left, I called Nancy. She suggested she was busy because of prom season, but invited me over anyway so she could look at my dress. I tried it on for her and told her what the gal said about there being no side seam. Nancy said that's a load of BS and that a side seam could be put in. So despite her busy schedule, she pinned me up and said "I'll have it done by the end of this week or early next week at the latest." I'll be sure to give Nancy a call first next time.
When I went here last the staff was helpful and accommodating. It was a busy time of year when I went, but I was in and out in shorter time than I expected.
Lund & Taylor is the place I go to in rhinelander when I need to go shopping for suits, tuxes, or dresses. I am not very familiar with bridal shop prices so I do not feel comfortable to speak on the affordability of this shop.
Mary and all the girls are super helpful, they really go the extra mile to make sure you get exactly what you want.

Before my bridal appointment, the gal told me to look at their website and save pictures of dresses I liked, then she could pull those dresses. A couple days later, I show up for my appointment and showed her about a dozen dresses I liked. She said she didn't have ANY of them in stock, but that I could order from off line. I assumed this meant I could order them to try them on, but she expected me to buy a dress without trying it on first. She also mentioned she had most of her inventory at her other store in Merrill, and asked if I wanted her to pull dresses from there to try on at a later date. After I said no, she started pulling dresses from racks without asking me for a price point and what style/fit I liked. Of course, I left the store empty handed.
