I have been coming to Stress Recess for massage nearly 15 years. Char gives a deep tissue massage which is enhanced by therapeutic oils and the application of foot warmers, an eye mask, and warm towels. She creates a wonderful relaxing atmosphere in the massage room, which features a wood-burning stove in winter, and has a lovely view over a long stretch of lawn and evergreen trees while gentle music plays in the background. She always begins each session by asking what areas need attention, how you feel, etc. Char believes in the healing power of touch and she delivers. I have been to numerous other massage therapists both here in the U.S. and overseas, where I lived for many years, and Char is the best. She's the one I come home to. Because she has the entrepreneurial spirit, Char is always experimenting with new ideas. Last summer, she set up a tent to offer massage out of doors. Recently, she opened a salt room to offer salt therapy to those with respiratory problems like asthma, COPD, or sleep apnea. I have also used the salt room four times and notice improved breathing after each 40 minute session. I highly recommend Stress Recess.
